Job summary

Turnitin seeks a Global Controller to lead the worldwide accounting function, shaping strategy, governance, and performance across geographies. The role partners with CLT, FP&A leadership, and business partners to deliver compliant, high-quality financial reporting and robust internal controls.

The candidate will design scalable governance, drive automation, mentor high-performing teams, and steer enterprise-wide finance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CA or equivalent credential.
• Experience leading remote/global finance teams and multi-geo operations.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and international tax accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly effective global Accounting service spanning all geographies and verticals.
• Lead core accounting functions including financial operations, reporting, tax, treasury, compliance, and internal controls.
• Provide strategic leadership to elevate the Global Accounting function to a center of excellence.
• Architect organizational design and scalable finance capability to drive long-term growth.
• Drive end-to-end global accounting strategy across statutory reporting, audit, payroll, treasury, and tax operations.
