Job summary

Europa Worldwide Group is seeking a driven Business Development Manager for our Glasgow road freight team. The role focuses on winning new business, expanding your own customer base, and meeting monthly gross profit targets.

You will nurture accounts at first, then hand over to Customer Services while you pursue new opportunities. The position requires proactive prospecting, face-to-face meetings, and strong relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Sales experience in freight/logistics is valued but not essential.
• Proven ability to perform in a targeted, performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow your own customer base within your allocated area/location.
• Proactively source new sales leads using Europa’s in-house CRM/CMS and external methods.
• Make outbound telesales calls to identify, qualify, and profile opportunities.
• Conduct face-to-face customer visits and prepare competitive quotations tailored to client needs.
• Manage newly won accounts for the first six months, focusing on growth and wallet share.
• Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure service satisfaction and identify further growth.
