Generator Technician – Ipwich

Salary: £37,000-£40,000 + Overtime

Mobile with Fully expensed van, phone & laptop

As a Generator Technician, your role will include :

Responsibilities
  • Carry out service, maintenance, and repairs on diesel generators and related equipment
  • Respond to breakdowns with confidence and professionalism
  • Diagnose faults using advanced software and your own engineering expertise
  • Perform load bank testing
  • Take part in a 24-hour emergency call-out rota (1 week in every 5)
  • Support installation and commissioning of diesel generators

You'll have access to the latest diagnostic tools and technology to help you deliver outstanding service every time.

As a Generator Technician, you will be considered with:

Qualifications
  • Strong electrical / mechanical engineering experience
  • Ideally, 18th Edition qualification
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with common generator control systems (preferred)
  • Good computer literacy
