Job summary

Young's - Surrey is seeking an entrepreneurial General Manager to lead a premium fresh-food pub in Surrey. You will work with your head chef and operations manager to shape the menu, events, and overall customer experience while steering the team to deliver exceptional service.

You will have autonomy within a defined framework, with a strong emphasis on community engagement, people development, and business growth. A large bonus potential and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to run your own site within a framework.
• Strong people-management and leadership skills to lead front-of-house and kitchen teams.
• Experience in fresh-food led hospitality operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the pub in partnership with the head chef and operations manager.
• Define menus and write recipes with autonomy to match the vision and business plan.
• Recruit, train and develop the team; drive events and sales initiatives to grow the business.

We're always on the lookout for experienced General Managers to run our premium, fresh-food businesses. If that sounds like you and you are based in Surrey, we'd love to have a look at your CV and potentially even have a chat with a view to joining us within the next 12 months.

You are in charge of your own business - that means that working alongside your head chef and operations manager, you decide what goes on your menu - and have the freedom to write those recipes from scratch, as well as deciding what sales driving events you do which fit the vision and business plan of your pub.

Its all about the communities of each business - whether that's a village pub, a suburban community family pub, a food-destination businesses or a palace of pints for after work drinkers - and people are at the heart of what we do.
