The Westgate in Winchester, part of Young's Pubs, is seeking a General Manager to run a busy pub with 10 guest rooms. This live-in role includes a 1-bedroom studio and offers a premium, food-led operation with a strong local following.

As GM, you will tailor the offer to guests, lead the team, recruit locally, and drive events and sales to grow the business. A significant bonus potential accompanies the base salary in a guest-focused hospitality role.

General Manager - Live in - 1 bed studio - Up to 48k plus bonus

We're looking for a General Manager for The Westgate in Winchester. This is a quintessential corner pub with a relaxed atmosphere, great local ales and fantastic fresh, seasonal food. With 10 rooms for overnight guests, and recently refurbished, the Westgate is a modern, premium pub that appreciates its history - stunning wooden beams and exposed brick bring character and warmth. The pub has a busy calendar of well-delivered community activity, weekly quizzing and food-led events keeps the locals coming back. time after time.

The ideal candidate has experience running a pub with rooms for overnight guests, and managing a fresh food GP, is a guest-centric operator who ensures that every visit is important, and has ideas on how to continue to improve the offer in the business. Our current GM is relocating - The pub is performing well, and it is well set up for the new General Manager to come in and continue to build on those strong foundations.
