London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Gastroenterology Registrar to join a team of Gastroenterologists based at St Mark's Hospital. The endoscopy unit performs approximately 5,000 GI endoscopies per year, and approximately 2,000 new patients per year are seen in gastroenterology clinics. The Ealing Endoscopy unit is currently in the process of acquiring JAG accreditation as part of its Trust wide Endoscopy strategy work stream.
This full‑time post would suit a registrar who seeks a challenge in providing excellent Gastroenterology and Hepatology inpatient care, delivering an out‑patient service, and developing skills in endoscopy. The post holder will undertake two out‑patient clinics, conduct ward rounds with consultant supervision and have one training endoscopy list per week.
The post holder will work on the wards supporting the busy gastroenterology department and will also be attending outpatients’ clinic and endoscopy. Flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the service but, depending on the interests and skills of the successful candidate, appropriate training can be provided in hepatology, nutrition, endoscopy etc. Duties will include responsibility for in‑patient ward rounds (with consultant supervision), supporting out‑patient clinics and endoscopy lists.

A Trust Registrar is required to work in the busy and friendly St Mark's Hospital Gastroenterology department at Northwick Park Hospital. The post holder will work on the wards supporting the busy gastroenterology department and will also be attending outpatients’ clinic and endoscopy. Please see attached JD.
