Job summary

A gas safety inspection company is seeking a Domestic Gas Quality Control Auditor to carry out inspections across North West and West London. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and performing quality control checks on gas installations. The ideal candidate will have relevant ACS qualifications, prior experience in gas services or auditing, and a full driving licence. This position requires availability 5 days a week and the candidate must possess their own van and tools.

Qualifications

• Experienced in auditing/inspecting jobs or extensive experience in gas services within social housing.
• Must have a full suite of ACS qualifications and a driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control inspections for social housing providers.
• Ensure engineers present appropriate ID and documentation.
• Perform checks on gas safety and installations.

Skills

Detailed knowledge of gas appliances

Job description

Overview

Role Description We are currently recruiting for a Contract Domestic Gas Quality Control Auditor to cover North West and West London 5 days per week (Monday - Friday).

This role will entail quality control inspections being undertaken on a variety of works carried out for social housing providers.

Responsibilities

• Turn up and ask tenant if engineer showed his ID / gas Safe Card
• Was the engineer polite and well presented?
• Did the engineer leave a copy LGSR?
• Check boiler and do a Gas rate and FGA on max to check readings are the same
• Visual Check PRV termination, condensate, room thermostat
• Check radiators if installed & TRVs
• Is pipework clipped?
• Tightness test only if deemed necessary
• Breakdown – i.e. engineer fitted a pump - did he/she actually fit a pump?

Qualifications and Skills

• A full suite of ACS qualifications. As a minimum: CCN1, CENWAT (CEN1, WAT1), HTR1, CKR1 and CPA1
• Detailed knowledge of gas appliances and central heating systems supplemented by a thorough understanding of normative documents especially the Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998
• Good communication skills
• Full driving licence

The ideal candidate will have some previous experience in auditing/ inspecting jobs OR great experience across all aspects of gas within Social Housing, availability 5 days per week (Monday- Friday) and their own van and tools as well as up to date documents e.g. ACS, Calibration, Public Liability Insurance etc.
