Reports to: Maintenance Manager / Registered Managers

Hours: 30 hours per week

Salary: £19,047.60 (pro rata’d)

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for someone to provide gardening and assistance with maintenance at our properties and grounds to ensure that they are kept safe, secure and in good condition. Working to a high standard, in a safe and secure manner, whilst being sensitive to the needs of the staff and young people in the building.

WHAT KIND OF PERSON DO WE NEED?

Someone who:

  • Can carry out a variety of planned and reactive gardening tasks, varying in nature, including Upkeep of the gardens and outdoor areas, Strimming, mowing, planting, weeding, tending to the plants, leaf blowing, Keeping outdoor spaces clear of litter, moss and debris, Operating and maintaining gardening machinery.
  • Has a Full, UK, Valid Driving Licence, with access to a car.
  • Has a Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a horticulture role.
  • Is practical and enjoys working outside.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

As the role is physically demanding the applicant must have the ability to lift and handle large/heavy objects, be able to bend, reach, push, pull, load, unload climb and work safely at height. Ability to predominantly work on their feet during working hours and through the course of the day.
