Co-op Funeralcare in Camborne is hiring a Funeral Arranger on a part-time basis. The role offers £13.47 per hour plus benefits and requires 18.75 hours per week across Mon-Tue and Wed, with duties spanning preparation, transport and personal care of the deceased conducted with professionalism and empathy.

You'll support clients in person and by phone, maintain accurate records using digital systems, and ensure the funeral home is welcoming and compliant.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication in written and spoken form.
• Able to handle cash, discounts, and basic invoicing calculations.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow regulatory policies.
• Proficient with IT and digital systems used in client management.
• Empathetic, discreet and able to support families with care.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and community.
• Assist clients in person and by phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming, reporting maintenance issues as needed.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work (e.g., selling funeral plans) to the Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist in the care and preparation of the deceased (hair, make-up, moving) with training provided.
• Update client records to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.
