Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in Daventry is seeking a part-time Funeral Arranger to join our compassionate team. The role offers £13.47 per hour plus benefits, and 18.75 hours per week across Wednesday 1pm-5pm, and Thursday & Friday 9am-5pm. No prior funeral industry experience is required as full training is provided.

You will build relationships with families, organise visits, prepare and care for the deceased, and ensure operations run smoothly with safety and dignity at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and empathy.
• Numerical skills for basic cash handling and discounts.
• IT literacy and ability to use multiple devices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Support clients in person and on the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming and report maintenance issues.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Refer regulated work (funeral plans) to the Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist in the care and preparation of the deceased and manual handling as required.
• Update client management applications with accurate, timely information.
