Job summary

Co-op in Redruth is recruiting a Funeral Arranger to support families and manage funeral arrangements with compassion and professionalism. The role offers part-time hours and a competitive benefits package, including a strong pension scheme and staff discounts.

You will help coordinate client visits, handle client documentation, and assist with the care and preparation of the deceased, with full training provided. Successful candidates will join a friendly, community-focused team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Numerical ability for cash handling, discounts, data entry and invoicing
• Attention to detail and accuracy to follow regulatory policies
• Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems
• Passion for delivering great service and building relationships
• High levels of empathy, discretion and care
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving coffins with training provided

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions
• Ensure the funeral home is clean, safe and welcoming, reporting maintenance issues
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing
• Refer regulated work (funeral plans) to Funeral Plan Arrangers
• Assist with manual handling and preparation of the deceased for viewing
• Update client management applications with accurate, timely information
