Co-op Funeralcare in London is hiring for a Full-time Funeralcare Assistant. The role involves direct contact with the deceased as part of normal duties, assisting with preparation, transportation, and personal care of the deceased, while delivering professional, empathetic client service in a welcoming funeral home environment.

No prior funeral industry experience is required as full training and ongoing support are provided, along with a competitive salary, pension, and staff discounts.

Formación

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work with numbers, cash handling and invoicing basics.
• Keen eye for accuracy and adherence to policies.
• Strong IT skills with a range of devices and systems.
• Passion for delivering great service and building relationships.
• High levels of empathy, discretion and care.
• Ability to assist with physical elements of the role with proper training.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community.
• Assist clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions.
• Keep the funeral home clean, safe and welcoming, and report maintenance issues as needed.
• Use digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing.
• Ensure regulated work like selling funeral plans is referred to the Funeral Plan Arrangers.
• Assist with manual handling of coffins and preparation of the deceased, with training provided.
• Update client management applications with accurate, timely information.
