Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in Bridlington is seeking staff to support clients in a compassionate, professional manner. No prior funeral industry experience is required as full training is provided.

The role involves physical duties, handling client queries, and assisting with funeral arrangements while maintaining a respectful environment. You will use various IT systems to update records, manage invoices and coordinate with families.

Qualifications

• Clear written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the community
• Support clients in person and over the phone, arranging family visits and answering questions
• Ensure the funeral home is clean, safe, and welcoming and report maintenance issues
• Work with digital systems to manage client documentation, funeral arrangements and invoicing
• Refer regulated work about funeral plans to Funeral Plan Arrangers
• Assist in the care and preparation of the deceased and manual handling as needed
• Handle cash, discounts, data entry and basic invoicing with accuracy
• Learn and use new applications and systems with provided training
