A leading real estate investment firm in London is seeking an interim fund accountant. The role involves preparing quarterly management accounts, managing investor reporting, and supporting the fund finance team. Ideal candidates will be fully qualified accountants with strong skills in Excel and audits. This is an office-based role with a daily rate of £400-£525, requiring a minimum assignment of 4 months.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years' PQE as a fully qualified accountant.
• Previous experience of real estate investment is a big plus.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and investor reporting.

Equifind are pleased to have partnered with a leading real estate investment firm, in the heart of London, who are looking for an interim fund accountant to join the team during a rather busy period of work.

You will be joining a very exciting company that has a real hunger for market growth and expanding across Europe.

Key duties and responsibilities for this fund accountant position include:

• Preparation and review of quarterly management accounts in line with IFRS, including the reconciliation of balance sheet and income statements
• Preparation of quarterly investor reporting for the funds
• Preparation of the yearly and half yearly Financial Statements and dealing with audit queries
• Regular cash management duties
• Daily management of invoice processes of assigned funds
• Preparation of management fee calculations in accordance with fund documentation
• Preparation of journal entries for corrections, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, capitalisation, revaluation etc
• Analysing capital expenditure as required
• Preparing, reviewing and submitting VAT returns on a quarterly basis
• Assisting in the buying and selling of assets in collaboration with investment teams, ensuring correct accounting treatment is used together with answering any financial due diligence queries
• Team up with other stakeholders across the business e.g. property managers and company secretary
• Work on building a robust financial framework for future reporting needs
• Ad-hoc project work as and when needed by senior management

Experience & Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Accountant 3-6 years' PQE (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience of audits
• Previous experience of real estate investment is a big plus
• Strong excel and communication skills
• Experience of process improvement and documentation
• Working knowledge of Yardi is highly advantageous
• Ability to work on own accord and deliver reports in a timely manner

With an international footprint across multiple countries, you will be joining a diverse organisation that is looking at opportunities and expansion all the time.

You will be reporting directly into the head of fund finance, where you will work on the fund reporting side of the business and help them with all the core fund reporting.

This is a predominantly office-based role in London and requires you to be in with the team, four days per week. Flexibility will be granted, as and when needed but collaboration and working closely as a team are what set these guys apart from the rest.

Daily Rate

This exciting opportunity for a fund accountant will pay between £400-£525 per day, depending on your experience and background.

Assignment Length & Interview
