Join a team making a real difference in young people's lives. We are working closely with local councils, SEND services, and education providers across Newcastle to deliver tailored, one-to-one and small group Functional Skills support. We're currently recruiting experienced Tutors to teach Maths, English, and PSHE at Entry Level 3, Level 1, and Level 2.

Position Details:

• Pay rate up to GBP30 per hour depending on qualification and/or experience
• Up to 15 hours per week per student
• Start date: September 2025
• Location: Newcastle
• Duration: ongoing
• Access to our Resource Hub, which includes learning materials
• Access to CPD accredited courses and training

Your role with us:

• Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition in Functional Skills Maths and/or English
• Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gaps.
• Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and their families.
• Create a supportive and motivating learning environment to help students re-build their confidence in learning.
• Complete daily attendance and weekly reports.

To be eligible for this role, the potential Functional Skills Tutors must:

• Previous experience with functional skills
• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Be able to reference the last two years of education/employment
