Functional Skills Tutor

Hours: Full-Time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri.

Location: Birmingham (Stechford)

Salary: GBP24,000 - GBP30,000 per annum, depending on experience & qualifications

We have an exciting opportunity for a Functional Skills Tutor to join our team. You will support students in achieving their functional skills qualifications in English and Maths up to Level 2. We seek a motivated, engaging, and inspiring tutor who can help learners reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths up to Level 2.
• Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and prepare lesson plans.
• Achieve company KPIs and individual performance targets.
• Plan embedded learning for groups and individuals.
• Develop delivery methods to maximize learner progression.
• Create a supportive training environment to develop learners' abilities, skills, and confidence.
• Regularly assess learners' work.

Requirements:

• Experience delivering Functional Skills or Maths and English to Level 2.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience within 14-19 provision.
• Full teaching qualifications (e.g., Cert Ed, C&G 7407, CTTLS, DTLLS).
• Passion and desire to teach.
• Willingness to undertake relevant teaching qualifications.
