Job Summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed Senior Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technician. This role involves providing and developing clinical services at Horton Rehabilitation Services (HRS). Ideal candidates are those with experience in hospital settings who are eager to deliver patient-tailored care within inpatient Mental Health Rehabilitation Services.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Training and Auditing: Lead training, auditing, and monitoring processes to ensure the safe and secure handling of medicines across HRS.
  • Patient Self-Administration Scheme: Develop and support the rollout of a patient self-administration scheme as part of the multidisciplinary teams on inpatient wards.
  • Medicine Reconciliation: Lead and support the timely completion of the medicine reconciliation process.
  • System and Process Review: Review and enhance systems and processes to ensure the cost-effective use of medicines across Mental Health Rehabilitation Services.
  • Clozapine Monitoring Service: Assist in the development of the onsite Clozapine monitoring service.
