Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Verification Assurance Officer (Central) in Cromer to join a new frontline fraud prevention team. The role focuses on interviews, verification activities, and strengthening fraud controls within Jobcentre and Service Centre sites.

You will work face-to-face with claimants, deliver customer education, provide MI data, and collaborate with colleagues to detect fraud early.

Qualifications

• Interviewing candidates and interviewing claimants to verify evidence.
• Understanding fraud indicators and preventative controls.
• Analyzing data and producing management information for performance teams.
• Collaborating with Jobcentre colleagues to strengthen verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and follow-up evidence interviews with claimants and colleagues.
• Coordinate verification activities within Jobcentre and Service Centre sites.
• Lead review meetings when additional evidence is requested for claims.
• Provide regular feedback on fraud trends at office meetings.
• Educate customers on responsibilities and consequences of non-compliance.
• Maintain accurate management information as directed.
