Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an Agentic Forward Deployed Engineer embedded with clients to turn complex business problems into autonomous, multi-agent systems. You will own end-to-end delivery of agentic solutions, using Python and ADKs, with a focus on Responsible AI, security and governance.

You will design, prototype, and ship single- and multi-agent workflows, evaluating performance and ROI while mentoring a small engineering team and aligning with client timelines and standards.

Qualifications

• Strong Python engineering, typed and tested code.
• Hands-on agent building with at least one ADK.
• Solid command of agent engineering: prompt/context, MCP and multi-agent orchestration.
• Eval-driven development with evaluation harnesses.
• Standards-based integration and DevSecOps: APIs, auth, CI/CD.
• Ability to conceptualize a business problem as an agent quickly.
• Client-facing maturity and ability to translate between technical and non-technical.
• Experience mentoring or leading small engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize business processes as agentic solutions with stakeholders.
• Design and ship single-agent and multi-agent systems in Python using ADKs.
• Drive delivery and operational efficiency with measurable ROI.
• Engineer the agent core: prompt/context engineering, memory, tool calling, MCP.
• Integrate agents into client ecosystems via secure APIs and authentication.
• Build reusable agent components, guardrails, and production-grade code.
• Prototype quickly with SDKs, then harden to production-grade implementations.
• Run eval-driven development with tests to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Own AgentOps/DevSecOps: CI/CD, observability, governance by design.
• Incorporate client feedback into prompts and agent design.
• Lead and mentor a lean team of 3 agent engineers.
