Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an Agentic Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with clients, building autonomous business transformation agents in Python. You will conceptualize, design, and deploy agentic solutions that automate real workflows, while leading a small team and ensuring responsible AI governance.

You will evaluate multiple ADKs and runtimes, implement secure integrations, and iterate rapidly from prototype to production-grade code within complex enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Strong Python engineering: idiomatic, typed, tested, and packaged code.
• Hands-on agent building with at least one agent development kit.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize a business process as an agentic solution and prototype quickly.
• Design and ship single-agent and multi-agent systems in Python using ADKs, with ROI measurable.
• Drive delivery efficiency, lower cost-to-serve, and improve cycle times.
• Engineer core agent functionality: prompting, context management, memory, and MCP integration.
• Integrate agents into client ecosystems with secure authentication and APIs.
• Create reusable agent components, tools, and templates with guardrails.
