Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an Agentic Forward Deployed Engineer to industrialize multi-agent workflows inside client environments. You will own each agent end‑to‑end, from conceptualization through production, using Python and ADKs to deliver automated business processes such as approvals, onboarding and dispute resolution.

The role demands hands-on agent building, strong Python, and experience with MCP and standards-based integrations.

Qualifications

• Strong Python engineering with typed, tested code and solid software principles.
• Hands-on agent building with at least one agent development kit.
• Solid command of agent engineering: prompt/context engineering, caching and multi-agent orchestration.
• Eval-driven development: design evaluation harnesses and measure agent quality.
• Standards-based integration and DevSecOps: APIs, secure auth, CI/CD, observability.
• Ability to conceptualize a business problem as an agent quickly and operate in ambiguous settings.
• Client-facing maturity and experience mentoring small engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize business problems as agentic solutions and prototype quickly.
• Design and ship single-agent and multi-agent systems in Python using ADKs.
• Drive delivery and operational efficiency with measurable ROI.
• Engineer the agent core including memory, tool calls and MCP integration.
• Integrate agents into client ecosystems with secure authentication.
• Build reusable agent components and templates with guardrails.
• Prototype with scaffolding and harden to production-grade code.
• Lead AgentOps/DevSecOps including CI/CD and telemetry.
• Run continuous feedback loops from telemetry and client input.
