Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an Agentic Forward Deployed Engineer embedded with a client to turn ambiguous business problems into production agents. You will own end-to-end agent development, from conception to deployment, guiding a small team to deliver reusable, secure, and measurable transformation agents using Python and multiple ADKs.

You will lead the design of single-agent and multi-agent systems, apply prompt engineering, memory, and MCP integration, and ensure governance, safety, and cost control

Qualifications

• Strong Python engineering: idiomatic, typed, tested, packaged code.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize business processes as agentic solutions and prototype quickly.
• Design and ship single-agent and multi-agent systems with ADKs.
• Improve delivery and operational efficiency; reduce cycle times and cost-to-serve.
• Engineer the agent core: prompts, memory, tool calls, MCP, multi-agent orchestration.
• Integrate agents into client ecosystems with secure authentication.
• Build reusable agent components and guardrails for safety and predictability.
• Prototype and harden to production-grade Python.
• Run eval-driven development with harnesses and test suites.
• Own AgentOps/DevSecOps: CI/CD, observability and governance.
• Feed production telemetry and feedback back into prompts and design.
