Job summary

Village Hotel Sheffield is opening and seeks an energetic Assistant Host Manager to be the operational heartbeat of the front-of-house from day zero. You will lead the brand-new Host Team, implement brand standards, and run the lobby with warmth and seamless service.

Starting January ahead of opening, you will train staff, test our check-in tech, manage shifts, and drive ADR and guest satisfaction to set new local benchmarks on TripAdvisor.

Qualifications

• Experience in front-of-house supervision or reception leadership.
• Ability to train and onboard new teams.
• Strong guest-service focus with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening setup and onboard the brand-new Host Team with hands-on training.
• Protect the bottom line by managing wage costs, rotas, and daily takings while coaching upselling.
• Act as Duty Manager, run high-energy pre-shift briefings, handle guest queries with empathy, and drive review scores.
