Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking passionate Field Service Engineers in the forklift industry in England. Candidates will perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on materials handling equipment, ensuring high standards of service and adhering to safety regulations. A relevant technical qualification and experience with forklifts or similar equipment are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with forklifts or plant equipment, or cars, vans, HGV, or agricultural machines.
• Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs on equipment.
• Diagnose faults to identify breakdowns and necessary repairs.
• Provide professional service while observing Health and Safety regulations.
• Build relationships with customers and work closely with the sales team.

Overview

We are seeking Field Service Engineers within the forklift industry who are passionate hard workers.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs on a range of materials handling and ancillary equipment.
• Carrying out fault diagnosis to identify reported breakdowns and identifying the parts and repairs to complete the work.
• Providing a professional, efficient service to our customers, maintaining & repairing the equipment to the highest standard whilst observing Health and Safety regulations at all times.
• Building customer relationships
• Working closely with the sales team, informing them of any potential leads.

Experience / Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification (Desirable not essential)
• Previous experience within a similar role working on ideally Forklifts or Plant equipment of as a minimum cars, vans, HGV or Agricultural machines
• Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principals
• The ability to work independently and under pressure
• Time management skills
• Understanding customer needs
• Full Driving Licence
