Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and qualified Forest School Leader to join a vibrant and popular two-form entry primary school in the heart of Tower Hamlets.

The successful candidate will lead engaging, child-centred outdoor learning sessions that inspire curiosity, confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of nature.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about outdoor education to make a meaningful impact on pupils' wellbeing and development.

This one day a week role is a ASAP and will continue until July 202. Pay rates will vary depending on qualifications and experience: 100-120 (PAYE).

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Forest School sessions for pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Create a safe, nurturing outdoor learning environment that encourages independence, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.
  • Assess pupils' progress and adapt activities to meet individual needs and abilities.
  • Promote children's social, emotional, and physical development through nature-based learning.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and outdoor resources to a high standard.
  • Carry out dynamic and site-specific risk assessments, ensuring all activities follow current Forest School and safeguarding guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leaders to integrate Forest School learning with the wider curriculum.
  • Engage with parents, carers, and the wider school community to celebrate pupils' achievements.
  • Model excellent behaviour management strategies in an outdoor context.
  • Available to work 8Am - 16.30.
