Job summary

Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council are seeking an Environmental Services Support Officer (ESO4) to back the new food waste service. The role covers day-to-day delivery, customer service and liaising with operational staff, supervisors, drivers and management to maintain high standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a full Class 2 HGV licence, Driver CPC and digital tachograph card, plus strong communication and organisational skills and a flexible approach to depot-based

Qualifications

• Full Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Knowledge of tachograph regulations.
• Experience supervising frontline operational teams.
• Ability to work across Bromsgrove and Redditch depots.
• Commitment to excellent customer service and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day delivery of food waste collections.
• Work with staff, supervisors, drivers and management.
• Ensure high standards of customer service.
• Be flexible across depots as required.
• Assist in operational issue management.
