Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council are recruiting Food Waste Collection Driver/Loaders to support their new service across both districts. You will operate collection rounds, ensure safety, and deliver a reliable, customer-focused service.

The role requires a Class 2 licence, CPC card, tachograph knowledge, and the ability to work flexibly across depots with a professional and proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence with Class 2 entitlement (C).
• Driver CPC qualification card and digital tachograph knowledge.
• Safe, responsible driving in public-facing roles.
• Strong communication and customer-service focus.

Responsibilities

• Operate food waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Collect waste from residential properties weekly.
• Maintain vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Assist wider Waste Services team as needed.
• Represent the councils professionally in the community.
