Job summary

Redditch Borough Council, in partnership with Bromsgrove District Council, invites applications for an Environmental Services Support Officer (ESO4) to support the new food waste service.

The role involves day-to-day delivery of food waste collection across Bromsgrove and Redditch, working with operational staff, drivers and management to maintain high service standards and strong customer service. Flexible across depots may be required.

Qualifications

• Full Class 2 HGV driving licence and Driver CPC card.
• Knowledge of tachograph regulations and operation.
• Experience in a management/supervisory role within waste services is desirable.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day delivery of food waste collection services across Bromsgrove and Redditch.
• Collaborate with operational staff, supervisors, drivers and management to maintain service standards.
• Flex across depot sites to support operational requirements and continuous service improvement.
• Handle customer enquiries and ensure efficient frontline operations.
