The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a specialist food room, ensuring all health and safety regulations are rigorously followed. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative and rigorous Food Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive and focused learning environment.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the food preparation areas.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Food Technology curriculum materials.
  • Set and mark homework and internal assessments in line with school policy.
  • Provide engaging and accurate practical demonstrations of cooking and preparation techniques.
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with parents/guardians regarding student progress and welfare when required.
  • Organise and manage resources, ingredients, and equipment effectively within budget.
