Job description
The Role

We’re looking for a hospitality superstar who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and genuinely enjoys making someone’s day—one cup at a time. You don’t need to be a world‑champion barista, but you do need to love coffee, care about quality, and bring positive energy to every shift.

  • Crafting consistently delicious coffees with pride, Supporting the team across the floor, counter, and service areas
  • Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas and in accordance with the relevant codes of practice.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training.
  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines.
  • Bringing enthusiasm, reliability, and a can‑do attitude

The Team
  • A fast paced work environment within a great team
  • LGH Food Services provides meals to over 300 patients daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) 365 days a year
  • Shift work with early morning starts, including a combination of weekdays and weekends
Details of appointment
  • Permanent full time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$57,130 - $62,486 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
