Job summary

A reputable food production business in the Gower area is seeking Packers for immediate starts. As a Packer, you will be responsible for efficiently packing food products while adhering to strict food hygiene and safety standards. The role offers a 4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern with a pay rate of £12.59 per hour, with opportunities for permanent positions after completing a 12-week probationary period. Suitable candidates will be reliable and physically fit, and training will be provided.

Job description

JDR Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established and reputable food production business based in the Gower area.

We are currently recruiting for Packers to join the team with immediate starts available for the right candidates.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking long‑term, stable employment, with the role becoming permanent after successfully completing a 12‑week probationary period. As a Packer, you will be working within a food production environment, supporting the packing and preparation of products to company and industry standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Packing food products efficiently and accurately
  • Working to strict food hygiene and safety standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Wearing required PPE at all times (provided by site)
  • Cleaning and sanitising workstations during the final part of each shift (this is a physical aspect of the role)
  • Working as part of a team to meet production targets
Working hours

4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern 6:30 am – 15:30 pm. Please note: the final part of the shift is dedicated to cleaning duties.

Pay & Benefits

£12.59 per hour, paid weekly.
Every Friday, PPE provided by the site. Opportunity for a permanent position after 12 weeks. Immediate start for suitable candidates.
