Job summary

Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd is seeking an experienced Food Manager in Cambridge to lead a busy food hall, coach the team and maintain high standards. The role involves ensuring excellent customer service, efficient store operations and compliance with processes to deliver great shopping experiences for customers.

Strong line management experience in a fast-paced environment is essential, along with the ability to motivate staff, manage performance, and drive KPI results across daily operations

Qualifications

Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
Delivers brilliant customer service and coaches a team to do the same.
Leads operations with impact on KPI delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the whole food hall.
Managing compliance to processes whilst bringing passion and flair for great shop keeping and customer service.
Ensure every customer gets the food they want when they shop with us to help ensure we are the first choice for food.
People management, including performance, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay accuracy.
Occasionally assume overall responsibility for running the store and guiding colleagues.
