Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead day-to-day food hall operations in a fast-paced environment. You’ll coach teams, drive service excellence, and ensure stock availability, safety, and smooth daily routines—delivering for customers and shaping a best-in-class shopping experience.

Key focus areas include people leadership, KPI delivery, and hands-on store management, with the autonomy to set the tone and drive results across the store.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering exceptional customer experiences and coaching others.
• Experience leading teams in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.
• Leadership in high-volume operations with daily problem solving.
• History of delivering against KPIs from sales to stock availability.
• Experience handling complex people matters with fairness and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the whole food hall.
• Managing compliance to processes while delivering strong customer service.
• Ensure customers get the food they want when shopping to be first choice for food.
• People management including performance, disciplinary actions, scheduling and pay.
• Occasionally assume overall responsibility for running the store with clear direction.
