Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking an experienced Food Store Manager to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. You will lead, coach and support teams across the food hall, ensuring high standards and exceptional customer service while delivering on key KPIs.

You will manage performance, scheduling, and employee relations, with the ability to take overall responsibility for store operations when needed. A customer-centric mindset and hands-on leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
• Proven success delivering against KPIs and performance metrics.
• Experience managing complex people matters, including disciplinary and absence issues.

Responsibilities

• Role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the whole food hall.
• Managing compliance to processes while delivering strong customer service and shop keeping.
• Ensure customers get the food they want when they shop with us and drive first-choice status.
• People management: performance, capability, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay accuracy.
• Occasionally assume overall responsibility for running the store and directing staff.
