Job summary
Sainsbury's is seeking a Store Manager to lead front-line teams, drive superior customer service and achieve key performance indicators across the food hall. You will be responsible for people management, disciplinary processes, scheduling and ensuring stock availability to meet customer needs.
The role requires hands-on leadership in a busy retail environment, with focus on delivering a first-choice shopping experience and operational excellence across store functions.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of coaching teams to high standards.
- Experience leading in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.
- Experience delivering against KPIs across store operations.
- Ability to manage performance, absence and employee relations cases.
- Willingness to lead store operations with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the whole food hall.
- Managing compliance to processes whilst bringing passion for great shop keeping and customer service.
- Ensure every customer gets the food they want when they shop with us to help ensure we are the first choice for food.
- People management, performance and capability, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay accountability.
- When needed, assume overall responsibility for running the store and guiding colleagues to deliver for the customer.
