Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Store Food Manager to lead and coach teams in a busy food hall, ensuring high standards and smooth operations. You will drive customer service excellence, manage performance, and maintain payroll and scheduling accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on delivering top-tier customer experiences, managing daily operations, and collaborating with colleagues to meet KPI targets while maintaining a safe, compliant store environment.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and coaching others to raise standards.
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Proven ability to manage performance, absence and employee relations fairly.

Responsibilities

• Role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the food hall.
• Managing compliance to processes with passion for shop keeping and customer service.
• Ensure customers get the food they want when shopping to be the first choice for food.
• People management including performance, capability, disciplinaries and scheduling/pay accuracy.
• Occasionally take overall responsibility for running the store and guiding colleagues.
