A healthcare organization in Colchester is seeking a motivated individual to manage FM services, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations. Candidates must have a full UK driving licence and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends. The role offers a starting salary of £24,937–£26,598, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment.
You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day co‑supervision of FM services and will be the customer’s point of contact for any FM related issues, using a Trust vehicle. The FM services comprise cleaning, catering, portering, goods receiving, linen and laundry management. You will support the management of all the FM Assistants. The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving licence and ensure that all areas are maintained to a clean and hygienic level for patients, Trust staff and visitors in line with the current National Standards of Cleanliness. You will also ensure compliance with legislation relating to Food Safety and Health and Safety and will report any complaints or remedial actions to the FM Supervisor and Facilities Officer. As part of the Facilities Team you should be flexible, have excellent interpersonal and customer skills, and be able to use initiative to prioritise and organise your duties. The Estates & Facilities Department delivers high‑quality, cost‑effective services across Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated team players to join our cleaning team to deliver excellent environments for healthcare within our units in Clacton. • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Ability to travel within the Trust using a Trust vehicle.
• Relevant experience or willingness to learn about FM services and cleaning standards.
• 27 hours per week, 2‑week shift pattern:
Week 1 – Thursday & Friday 15:00‑19:00, Saturday 07:30‑14:00 & 15:00‑19:00, Sunday 07:30‑14:00 & 15:00‑19:00.
Week 2 – Thursday & Friday 15:00‑19:00.
• Unsocial hour payments: Saturday 35 %, Sunday 69 % of salary.
• Salary Band 3: £24,937–£26,598 per annum pro‑rated (£12.75–13.60 per hour).
• 27 days holiday, plus bank holidays, rising to 33 days after 10 years of service.
