Job Summary

The FLT Counterbalance Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Reach forklift truck to move, load, unload, and store materials within a warehouse, yard, or production environment. The role requires adherence to health and safety regulations, accuracy in handling goods, and teamwork to support daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance forklift truck to load, unload, and move goods.
• Transport materials to designated storage, production, or dispatch areas.
• Check loads for accuracy, damage, and compliance with handling procedures.
• Safely stack and store products to maintain warehouse organization.
• Carry out pre-use safety checks and routine maintenance of the forklift.
• Follow site safety rules, traffic management systems, and company policies.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when required (e.g., handballing, picking, packing).
• Report any defects, damages, or incidents to supervisors immediately.

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance forklift license (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent).
• Proven experience operating a counterbalance FLT in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Good awareness of health & safety practices.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle goods safely.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, or weekends if required.

Work Environment

• Warehouse, yard, or production facility.
• Exposure to noise, dust, and variable temperatures may occur.
• PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) must be worn at all times.
