Responsibilities

• Applying the correct labels to pallets and trolleys.
• Ensuring orders are packed correctly and accurately.
• Operating a forklift to load and unload goods.
• Preparing and handing the correct paperwork to drivers.
• Assisting with loading trolleys into trucks.
• Working additional hours when required, especially if trucks are delayed.
• During the off-season, performing general warehouse duties.
• During busy periods, Saturdays may be required and can be a full working day.

Salary: GBP13.5 - GBP14.5 per hour

Thrive Group Bolton are currently looking for a Despatch Operative to join our client based in PR4.

This is a hands-on role within our despatch/warehouse operation, and we are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team.

Key Requirements

• Good English language skills are essential for this position.
• Previous despatch/warehouse experience would be an advantage.
• Forklift Counterbalance experience/licence is required.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable and flexible approach to working hours.

Main Duties

• Ensuring the correct labels are applied to pallets and trolleys.
• Checking that orders have been packed correctly and accurately.
• Operating a forklift to load and unload goods.
• Ensuring the correct paperwork is prepared and handed to drivers.
• Assisting with loading trolleys into trucks.
• Working additional hours when required, particularly if trucks are delayed.
• During the off-season, the role may also involve general warehouse/worker duties.
• During busy periods, Saturday work may be required and can be a full working day.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organised and willing to get stuck in.

Hours are - Monday to Friday 06:00 - 15:30

Around the end of October this will change from 7am-3:30pm Monday – Friday

Saturdays are depending of the orders, occasionally they can be 6am/7am-12:00pm

In season which is March the hours will be6am till 6pm

Pay rate – Starting at £13.50 with a view to increase experience dependant.
