Thrive Group Bolton is seeking a reliable Despatch Operative to join our client-based warehouse. The role involves applying correct labels, ensuring accurate packing, and operating a forklift to load and unload goods. You will handle paperwork, assist with loading, and adapt to extended hours during peak periods.

Good English is essential. Forklift counterbalance licence is required, and prior despatch/warehouse experience is preferred. Weekend work may be required and hours shift seasonally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct labels are applied to pallets and trolleys.

• Work additional hours when required, especially if trucks are delayed.
• During off-season, assist with general warehouse duties.
• During busy periods, Saturday work may be required and can be a full day.

Thrive Group Bolton are currently looking for a Despatch Operative to join our client based in PR4.

This is a hands-on role within our despatch/warehouse operation, and we are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and able to work well as part of a team.

Key Requirements

• Good English language skills are essential for this position.
• Previous despatch/warehouse experience would be an advantage.
• Forklift Counterbalance experience/licence is required.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Reliable and flexible approach to working hours.

Main Duties

• Ensuring the correct labels are applied to pallets and trolleys.
• Checking that orders have been packed correctly and accurately.
• Operating a forklift to load and unload goods.
• Ensuring the correct paperwork is prepared and handed to drivers.
• Assisting with loading trolleys into trucks.
• Working additional hours when required, particularly if trucks are delayed.
• During the off-season, the role may also involve general warehouse/worker duties.
• During busy periods, Saturday work may be required and can be a full working day.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organised and willing to get stuck in.

Hours are - Monday to Friday 06:00 - 15:30

Around the end of October this will change from 7am-3:30pm Monday - Friday

Saturdays are depending of the orders, occasionally they can be 6am/7am-12:00pm

In season which is March the hours will be 6am till 6pm

Pay rate - Starting at £13.50 with a view to increase experience dependant.
