Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a Production Operative/FLT Driver in Stockport. This hands-on role combines manufacturing with forklift operation on a busy production line.

Hours are Monday to Friday with rotating shifts; start date is immediate, and the pay rate is £14.53 per hour. Responsibilities include operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely, unloading incoming wagons, loading pallets onto production machinery, completing stock paperwork, and keeping a clean, safe work area to help

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
• Experience operating a forklift in manufacturing/warehouse
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures at all times
• Good attention to detail when completing paperwork
• Reliable, hardworking, and a team player

Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Unloading incoming wagons
• Loading pallets of glass onto production machinery
• Operating machinery in line with company procedures
• Completing paperwork related to pallet usage and stock movements
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Working closely with colleagues to meet production targets

Production Operative/FLT Driver

Location: Stockport

Hours: Monday to Friday, Rotating shifts 6:30am - 2:30pm, 1:30pm - 21:30pm

Pay Rate: £14.53 per hour

Start Date: Immediate Start Available

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT driver/ machine operator to join a busy manufacturing and production team based in Stockport.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment and would suit candidates who are reliable, hardworking, and enjoy a challenge.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Unloading incoming wagons
• Loading pallets of glass onto production machinery
• Operating machinery in line with company procedures
• Completing paperwork relating to pallet usage and stock movements
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are met

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
• Previous experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures at all timesGood attention to detail, particularly when completing paperwork
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team
