This role reports to the Flight Dynamics & Mission Analysis Senior Manager and collaborates closely with FD peers across GEO and LEO programs to enable synergies in design, planning, and operations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform full mission lifecycle analysis from launch to de-orbit, including:
    • Launch Window Analysis
    • Maneuver Planning and Performance Analysis
    • Trajectory Design and Optimization
    • Orbit Determination
    • Constellation Analysis
    • Perturbation and Error Analysis
    • Conjunction Assessment, Collision Avoidance and Space Traffic Management
  • Lead and contribute to constellation-level optimization initiatives to maximize mission uptime, efficiency, and fuel life.
  • Drive development and validation of mission analysis algorithms and tools supporting LEO and GEO operations and engineering.
  • Participate in and provide mission analysis expertise during the design, engineering, and procurement activities for current and future Eutelsat Group systems, ensuring seamless integration into Eutelsat Group's GEO‑LEO architecture.
  • Support system readiness, planning, preparation, execution, and evaluation for all phases of spacecraft lifetime: from launch to mission to de-orbit.
  • Mentor, support, and provide guidance to junior Flight Dynamics Engineers and Mission Analysts, fostering technical growth and excellence across the FD team.
  • Support Flight Dynamics System (FDS) development and validation, including automation of mission analysis processes.
  • Contribute to requirements development, verification, and interface control documentation.
  • Write and maintain engineering specifications, technical reports, and CONOPS documentation.
  • Provide expert-level support during nominal operations and critical events (e.g., off-nominal maneuver sequences, launches, anomaly resolution).
Qualifications
  • MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in spacecraft astrodynamics, including orbit determination, maneuver planning, and trajectory design.
  • Strong expertise in perturbation and error analysis, and numerical optimization techniques.
  • Experience with mission analysis tools and standard astrodynamics software packages: OREKIT, GMAT, STK, SPICE, and others.
  • Proficiency with Python and/or Java.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work proactively, independently, and in a matrixed organization.
