Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners across care settings in the UK. Roles include Education Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, and Education Mentor, with flexible hours and hybrid/in-person sessions.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years' experience with children or young people with complex needs, a safeguarding mindset, and Enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience working with children or young people with complex needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, etc).
• Understanding of child-centred holistic approaches to education and support.
• Safeguarding knowledge and ability to create a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence and independence development.
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies to support diverse needs.
• Model and promote emotional regulation and reflective practice.
• Provide feedback to track progress and adapt support as needed.
