Job summary

SENse Learning is recruiting Learning Support Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners in Bedford and surrounding areas. Roles offer in-person, hybrid, and community-based sessions, with flexible scheduling to fit parental, carer, and school needs.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience with children or young people with complex needs, a safeguarding mindset, and the ability to craft engaging, student-centered lessons.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with complex needs (e.g. ASC, ADHD, SEMH).
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• UK-based with right to work in the UK.
• Safeguarding knowledge and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings.
• Deliver creative and interest-based activities to support learning.
• Support life skills, confidence, and independence using trauma-informed approaches.
• Monitor progress and adapt support based on feedback.
