SENse Learning is hiring Learning Support Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and holistic learning support for young people with complex needs. Roles include Education Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, and Education Mentor, with flexible in-person, hybrid, and community-based sessions across the UK.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in care or education support, a child-centered approach, and safeguarding awareness; DBS clearance and references are valued. Self-employed positions offered.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 2 years working with children or young people with complex needs.
• Background: Roles like care/education support, LSAs, TAs, or related backgrounds.
• Approach: Child-centred, holistic way; creative curriculum adaptation.
• Compliance: DBS enhanced and 2+ professional references.
• Location: UK-based with right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people who faced challenges.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence, and independence.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support diverse needs.
• Model emotional regulation and provide feedback to track progress.
• Adapt support as needed to suit individual learners.
