Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will deliver letters and parcels in your community, often on foot, and drive a Royal Mail delivery van as part of your round.

This role combines active outdoor work with customer service, working flexible hours in a busy delivery environment. A driving licence and physical fitness are essential, with a requirement to pass a driving assessment on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your community on your round.
• Drive a Royal Mail delivery van and complete parts of your route on foot.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards.
