Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will be the face of the service in your community, delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot across your route.

Roles require a full, manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points, fitness to walk long distances, and the ability to adapt to varying shifts at short notice. You may be asked to undergo a driving assessment prior to starting.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; you must adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels on your delivery route.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and deliver items securely.
• Pass a driving assessment before starting.
• Handle and deliver election materials and items such as food or alcohol in line with standards.
