Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers in Ledbury and surrounding areas. You will be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine and performing part of your route on foot while driving a delivery van.

Shifts vary, and a driving assessment is required on starting. The role offers a chance to stay active, work outdoors, and contribute to a service that keeps people connected every day.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary and require team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your community, driving a Royal Mail van and delivering parts of your route on foot.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including election materials and certain items such as food products or alcohol in line with business standards.
