Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking flexible postal delivery drivers to join its team. You will deliver letters and parcels in your community, driving a Royal Mail van and walking parts of your route while staying active throughout the day.

The role combines driving with on-foot delivery, requires passing a driving assessment, and offers varied shifts to fit around your lifestyle. This temporary position may become permanent and pays per shift with different rate tiers.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine.
• You’ll drive around your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.
• You’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail business standards.
