Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll drive a Royal Mail van, deliver letters and parcels in your community, and complete parts of your route on foot, come rain or shine.

This role offers varied shifts and competitive hourly pay. Full training and a driving assessment are provided, with support to stay active and serve your local neighbourhood.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points – you’ll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your delivery area, on foot and by van.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards.
